About Us

Hi, my name is Emma and I live in the heart of the Dorset countryside with my husband and daughter. Oh, and not forgetting our two lovable Labradors!

I have been crafting for a lot longer than I’d like to admit but honestly from a little girl with my mother. She is the one that taught me how to use a sewing machine, although I wish she was still here to help me when I have a mishap. She always encouraged me to follow my creative side. After school I qualified in mechanical craft engineering thinking this would be enough to fulfil that creativity, but alas no. Being sentimental I have kept my original vernier though.

After our daughter was born, I realised the value of quality family time. Making my craft my full-time job allowed me to do just that. In my home studio my daughter has her own craft corner, and she is always willing to help me when I need it. Now she is eight it is even more special that we are not only creating keepsakes for you, but also creating memories which I hope she will look back on fondly like I do of my mum.

So welcome to Emma's Cherished Keepsakes. At Emma's Cherished Keepsakes, we believe that memories deserve to be held close. That's why we lovingly create handmade Memory Bears from clothing that once belonged to someone special - whether it's a loved one who has passed, a baby's first outfit, a school uniform, or a meaningful piece of clothing you can't part with.

Each bear is crafted with care, compassion and attention to detail, turning treasured garments into timeless cherished keepsakes that bring comfort and connection.
